More details

Selvedge denim is the narrow, tightly woven band on both edges of the denim fabric constructed on a narrow shuttle loom machine. A selvedge end prevents the edge of the denim from unravelling and shows a clean finished look which does not require over-edging. It is mostly identified by a white-red-white outside edge. Considered the ultimate in Denim fabric due to the propensity to use long and thin staple cotton in conjunction to a tightly packed weave.
