"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken" - Oscar Wilde. You want your jewellery to play well with others and this ring does exactly this. This highly textured ring looks like a cooled lava flow. It is wide enough to wear by itself or stacked with other rings.

"This ear climber is inspired by sailors' swallows tattoos in the olden days. It is a hassle free way to get a multiple piercing look without any of the pain! It is light as a feather and stays in place, even when sleeping or pulling a jumper over your head (though we don't see how you could be doing both these things at the same time)."

“When we feel ourselves to be sole heirs of the universe, when "the sea flows in our veins...and the stars are our jewels," when all things are perceived as infinite and holy, what motive can we have for covetousness or self-assertion, for the pursuit of power or the drearier forms of pleasure?” ― Aldous Huxley, The Doors of Perception

Inspired by olden-times sailors' swallow tattoos, this ring is pretty but tough. The swallow was a symbol used by sailors to show off their sailing experience. Legend holds that since swallows return to the same location every year to mate and nest, the swallow would guarantee the sailor's safe return home. A sailor would have one swallow tattooed before setting out on a journey, and the second swallow tattooed at the end of their voyage, upon return to their home port.

Green amethyst embodies the spirit of nature itself, within a pastel green crystal form. Although the green variety is not as well known as purple amethyst, it is similarly sturdy its colour is a subtle play on green compared with the vigorous leafiness of emeralds.

Space was still there; but it had lost its predominance. The mind was primarily concerned, not with measures and locations, but with being and meaning.” ― Aldous Huxley, The Doors of Perception.

I find it meditative to design. I’m conscious of being a consumer in a consumerist society so I appreciate the power of being able to create something from nothing. Bringing a piece or a collection to life involves a small eco system of creatives (craftspeople, setters, polishers, photographers, web designers) before it is ready for the world. I love this interaction and their ideas are incorporated into the final experience. Then, when someone buys a piece, it is often as a result of conversation and collaboration between us (for example, an engagement ring make over). As a non-perishable item, I know that jewellery will live with people for years to come and possibly be passed down too. I view all of these interactions and relationships as part of the creative experience and cherish them.
