Designer: Saraden Designs
Saraden Designs Millinery Atelier is a slow fashion brand who embraces sustainable production. I support the idea of creating, designing and buying pieces for quality and longevity with emphasis very much on the art of the design and celebrating the skills involved.
About Saraden Designs
Saraden Designs is a slow fashion millinery brand. I embrace sustainable production processes and emphasise the sculptural aesthetics within my designs which distinguish themselves as wearable art pieces.
My pieces are not mass produced and I hand make the fabrics in house. Once a sheet of fabric is created it cannot be replicated making each design bespoke to its owner. All fabric cut offs are reworked back into designs leaving no waste. I have a created a niche with my brand in this.
I have branched out into creating bridal pieces using wire and crystals in the form of hair pins, hair vines and hair combs. These pieces are delicate and add the perfect finishing touches to a brides vision.

My background is in sculpture design so I am very much about the making. Once I create a sheet of my fabric I begin to cut and mould it into the desired shape. I don’t draw any of my designs but I have the idea in place before construction starts. I can draw inspiration from a colour or shape, sometimes it is like an epiphany and an idea comes to me. The more I create however the more creative I become and the ideas come quick and fast.
