A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) lino print designed & printed in Donegal, Ireland - signed & dated - you will receive this print ready to frame - the meadow thistle is a very long, slender and surprisingly delicate flower for a thistle! - the native Irish plant is much loved by bees and other insects making them extremely important in the ecosystem. the meadow thistle is unfortunately endangered and is on Ireland's red list for vascular plants.

This eco-friendly card was individually handcrafted on our much loved, beautifully restored letterpress platen, Florrie. Forrie was built in 1872. This greeting card is printed on 300gsm card made from 100% recovered fibre - the envelope is recycled using 100% post-consumer waste.

This eco friendly greeting card began as an illustration, then a hand carved linocut, then a linoprint and finally went through our letterpress platen a number of times to achieve this finished look. Florrie is our much loved, beautifully restored treadle based letterpress platen. Florrie dates from 1872. This card is wonderfully tactile as the image is debossed into the soft, luxurious card.

The idea behind the design is based on the traditional Celtic Trinity Knot/triquetra which symbolises eternity or infinity. By piercing out the heart in the middle gives each piece the meaning “Eternal Love”. Sterling silver and gemstone options also available.
