Children of the 1980s will love the latest release by Irish jewellery designer Jenny Huston of Edge Only which channels nostalgia, love of music and emotive design in equal measure.

The"Mixed Tape" pendant is made in collaboration with design duo Brenda Ahern and Helen Delany in celebration of their brand Electronic Sheep's 21st birthday.

Inspired by the three designers’ shared love of music, the "Mixed Tape" is a three dimensional sterling silver cassette pendant which bears all the characteristics of a real cassette tape complete with corner screws, space for the title label and the classic tape counter window.

The A-side of the cassette is blank so that it can be engraved by the owner should they so wish, while the B-side features the words "Electronic Sheep x Edge Only" as well as motifs pertinent to the two brands such as the traditional 21st Birthday key symbol, a heart, a skull and Edge Only’s signature lightening bolt.

Ethically made in Ireland and hallmarked in Dublin Castle, the silver cassette pendant hangs on an 18 inch belcher chain with a lobster clasp. A men’s version and a version in gold vermeil is also available. And the best bit? You won't need to get the kinks in the tape out with a Bic biro!

The "Mixed Tape" necklace is available online and in stockists from September or to pre-order now.
