The Arnotts Irish Collection Edit is a new edited selection of the most gorgeous, fashionable and innovative Irish brands, and is now available at the iconic Dublin department store which was founded in 1843.

In the Arnotts’ womenswear department this season you’ll find several Irish fashion design brands including Design Ireland's heritage brand Tissue alongside modern, contemporary knitwear and accessories by Tissue and stunning tweed coats and jackets made in Donegal and Dublin by Triona.

Whether classic or modern, these brands are the epitome of quality both in design and fabric terms. They offer stylish, well-made and considered garments to treasure forever, whilst also being firmly on trend this season.

Kelli Dryden, Irish design buyer at Arnotts, says that while the store has always championed Irish design, the Irish Collection Edit enables the buying team to expand their womenswear design offering - an “exciting” development this season. Kellie also credits Design Ireland as an advocate for Irish brands: “Design Ireland is a great advocate for Irish designers. They are able to shine a light on brands that offer up remarkable Irish talent,” she says.

“We have an amazing occasion-wear offer from our established Irish designers in Arnotts,” says Kellie. “With The Irish Collection Edit we wanted to expand this offer to include more casual wear, separates, knitwear and outerwear. When putting The Irish Collection Edit together, we really fell in love with the craftsmanship that each of these brands offer. From Donegal tweeds to handcrafted prints on silk to interesting manufacturing techniques - each brand in the Edit offers outstanding craftsmanship.

Arnotts already stock quite a few Irish brands as part of their womenswear and occasion wear collections and the Irish Collection Edit feels right at home within the Irish offering at the department store.

The brands Magee 1866, Triona and Tissue are particularly on-trend this season as knitwear, tweed, jewel tones and heritage fabrics featured strongly across both designer and high street collections for Autumn Winter 2018. The Aran jumper has now become a design classic and tweed and check fabrics have seen a major return this season, meaning that Irish brands are very well placed to tap into these fashion trends whilst continuing to produce great quality items of clothing with longevity and a timeless quality. This is thanks to the standard of fabrics and yarns and of craftsmanship that is intrinsic to the brands Arnotts have selected as part of The Irish Collection Edit.

“Each of the pieces in The Irish Collection Edit was chosen because of its timeless craftsmanship, while simultaneously speaking to the key trends for Autumn Winter 2018,” says buyer Kellie Dryden. “Colour, texture and print are all important trends this season, and being able to offer those trends to our customers from Irish designers and Irish brands is really special. We are proud of these pieces, of the designers and of The Irish Collection Edit at Arnotts.”

The Irish Collection Edit is available now at Arnotts, 12 Henry Street, Dublin 1.
