Location

Hill Picket Studio, Ballinvalley, Ballygahan Upper, Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland

Take a break from the usual hustle and bustle of your fast-paced life and engage in the art of instrument making.

Instrument making is held in partnership with luthier Lloyd McCann . Classes generally fall the first Saturday of each month. Materials are supplied and tools are provided. Participants are guided through every aspect of the making, and work at their own pace and can therefore begin at any time of the year. This has proven to be a hugely successful course with many of our students making multiple instruments. This class can cater for woodworking skills of all levels but as it is a big commitment we recommend that total beginners embark on smaller instrument.
