Ancient Materials at Showcase Ireland 2019

A modern design sensibility reimagines ancient techniques in the candle cubes of furniture designer Colin Harris through geometric shapes hewn from wind-fallen wood. Artisan techniques shine through novel surface decoration on a crystal decanter by Crisotal na Rinne - experts in the art of glass. Sumptuous silk is further enlivened by the vibrant painterly prints of Ciara Silke. Each of these carefully selected brands appears as part of the Design Ireland edit at Showcase 2019, RDS, Dublin from Sunday 20th to Wednesday 23rd January 2019.
Candle Cubes

The simple cube is the starting point for these dynamic candle holders. By rotating, drilling and slicing the cubes we create playful shapes and combinations that relate to each other. This price is for all three cubes in a set.

Painted Daisy

by Ciara Silke

Fashion & Accessories, Scarves

With its delicate stem and smooth florets this stylized daisy is skewed towards the edge of the design. Throughout history, the daisy has been featured in myth, literary works and legend. The name originates from the Anglo Saxon word meaning "day's eye." The name is appropriate since the flower opens in the morning.
